Sponsor challenges and prizes are here!

We can’t wait to see you at the MIT Bitcoin Expo and Hackathon THIS WEEKEND!

And we want to make sure you see the great sponsor challenges and prizes we have waiting for you.

Sia challenge and prize: Use the API at https://siasky.net to integrate Skynet into your hack in any of the four tracks. Your hack must include the ability to either upload or download from Skynet (or both!) as a core feature. One prize of 250,000 SC (estimated value: $675) will be awarded to the team that has the best Skynet integration in their hack. The SC will be distributed equally among all team members. Learn more about Sia’s challenge here.

Nervos challenge and prize: Hackers are challenged to use the Nervos code and bitcoin-spv toolset to fulfill one of the four hackathon tracks. Nervos will award the winning team $1,000, distributed equally among all team members. Learn more about Nervos here and here.

Celo challenge and prize: Build a mobile-first app in the dApp/DeFi track using Celo’s dappKit (and the ContractKit as an option). For this challenge hackers must open a pull request and add it to Celo’s dapp gallery. And the prize for this challenge is being feature in the dapp gallery! You can learn more about Celo here.

You’ll also have the opportunity to hear each sponsor describe their technology and challenge at the beginning of the hackathon.

Also some fine-print reminders: You must sign and return the liability waiver before the hackathon. You also must be registered for the MIT Bitcoin Expo. The Expo is free for university students -- your ticket fee will be returned when you check in at the Expo on Saturday.
